Overview

Deskburn is a focus timer that prioritizes your privacy. On the free tier, all your session data is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device. We do not track, upload, or analyze your focus sessions.

Data We Store Locally

• Focus session history (timestamps, duration, optional labels)
• Streak information (current streak, longest streak)
• License/subscription status
• Cookie consent preference
• Daily usage count (for free tier limits)

All of this is stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data will remove it.

Authentication

If you sign in (required for Pro), we use our shared authentication service (auth.cashewcrate.com). This stores your email address and subscription status. Authentication uses secure HTTP-only cookies.

Third-Party Services

• Google AdSense — Displays ads for free users (only with cookie consent). Governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Polar — Processes payments for Pro subscriptions. Governed by Polar's privacy policy.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (session cookies) and advertising (Google AdSense, only with your consent). A cookie consent banner is shown on first visit, compliant with UK/EU regulations (Google Consent Mode v2).

Data Deletion

Free tier: Clear your browser's localStorage to delete all data. Pro tier: Contact support@cashewcrate.com to request account and data deletion.
